A Senior Session to Remember: An Exchange Student's Northern Michigan Farewell

Every so often, a session comes along that's about so much more than senior portraits, this was one of those.

This year's exchange student spent her senior year here in Northern Michigan, far from home and family, and when it came time to plan her senior session, they knew they wanted it to be something bigger than a backdrop and a pretty outfit. They wanted it to hold everything: the time she spent here, the place that became a second home, and the quiet, powerful milestone of finishing high school on the other side of the world from where she started.

So we headed out to Champagne Hill, as the locals call it, one of the most breathtaking corners of Northern Michigan, on a cold, moody day that turned out to be exactly right for the occasion! We wrapped up the session on the shores of Lake Huron!
