An Autumn to Remember

Nestled high above the breathtaking Au Sable River, surrounded by Northern Michigan’s peak fall colors, this moment was one for the books.

For weeks, I worked closely with the soon-to-be fiancé to plan every detail of this surprise proposal at The Ausable River Overlook, in Oscoda, MI (Champagne Hill), one of the most scenic overlooks in the region. The golden leaves, the calm reflection of the river below, and the crisp air of autumn set the stage perfectly.

When the moment came, her expression said it all, pure joy, love, and surprise wrapped into one beautiful second that will be remembered forever. After the “yes” (and a few happy tears), we took advantage of the vibrant fall backdrop for an impromptu engagement session filled with laughter, connection, and so much love.

These are the moments that make photography so meaningful, capturing love in its most genuine form, surrounded by the beauty of Northern Michigan.
