Three Generations of Love by the Lake

Location: Shores of Lake Huron, Oscoda, Northern Michigan

There’s something sacred about photographing generations together, especially when it’s on the quiet shores of Lake Huron in Northern Michigan. This recent session was extra special, as I had the honor of capturing a dear friend, her beautiful daughter, and her incredible mother, three strong women whose love for one another radiated through every image.

From the moment we stepped onto the beach, the session overflowed with joy, smiles that lit up the lakeshore, laughter that echoed with generations of stories, and even spontaneous dancing in the sand. It was a reminder that love, connection, and shared memories are timeless.

We didn’t just take photos, we celebrated legacy.

This session captured the softness of mother-daughter bonds, the pride of a grandmother’s gaze, and the playful wonder of a little one exploring the world with her two biggest role models.

I walked away with a full heart and a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to freeze this chapter in time for a family that so clearly cherishes one another.
